I have 1991 intruder v6 150 i had compression checked and was 75 -76- 74
on one bank and 72- 68- 77 my question is could it be rings or head and could i just get away with new rings standard and stone hone or should i over size thanks

Have you tried the decarb procedure outlined in the FAQ section?
If not, I would try that first then retest compression.

They're relatively close and that's encouraging. Try a different compression tester after the decarb.

Decarb for sure. Then check again with a couple of compression testers to make certain there is not a huge error with one of them. If it is still low then start the teardown and make a decision on what you find. Rings and a hone may be all you need but a rebore may be the only realistic answer.

BTW use only a thread in style compression tester vs the kind you hold into the spark plug hole (they are very inaccurate)

Also oil the threads and rubber o-ring on the compression tester to ensure no air is escaping.
