Does using a higher amp alt hurt anything?

Currently have a 1986 5.7 liter with a dead 55 amp alt. I have a brand new 90 amp for a 91 3.0 liter.I can get it to bolt up no problem.I would like the higher amped alt cause i currently run 5 batteries in this boat.

as long as all the wiring and breakers and such along the way are upgraded to handle 100A or so, it's fine.
1 vee belt *should* be ok to turn it....
