Propping a 2007 Volvo 5.0 GL

I have a Larson Senza 186 with a Volvo 5.0L GL, currently I am running a 21 pitch 3 Blade prop and getting 4400 RPM at WOT for about 56 MPH. I am thinking of going to a 19 pitch 4 Blade. Anybody have any ideas of how this will work? will I lose top end or gain?

My main concern to to get the RPM's up to around 5000 will this do it.

What year of boat is that. and do you know if your tach is within 100 rpm....crazy stuff huh..


New boat . is the motor broke in yet?? and is the currnet prop SS or alum?

It is a 2007. I only have about 7 hours on the engine, so my guess is that it may loosen up a bit as it breaks in. The current prop is alum, and I would like to stay with Alum.

I am thinking that with the 4 blade I would get better out of the hole.

Would it make sense to stay get a 21 pitch 4 blade instead of a 19?
