1985 Suzuki DT140 tach harness ?'s

Hi I was wondering if anyone has ever hooked up A tach on A 1985 Suzuki? There appears to be no hook up on the older style motors like there is on A 1986 and up , I was wondering if I could get any feedback on how to do this? I have tried to do it through the control box because there are wires hanging off of it for the trim but no luck. Any help top lead me in the right direction would be helpful.

yellow is the tach signal

ya yellow is the signal wire, black = neg, gray = positive
