:confused:Hi, Folks. I have a problem and need some advice and/or opinions. My problem occurs only after the motor has been run approx 15min and then shut down, prior to shutting down motor runs smooth, you would never guess that anything is wrong. upon refiring the motor the rpm's tend to jump to 1200-1800 and engine smokes and smells of gas, once motor engaged you cannot crack throttle more than an inch or it will die. It will refire no problem even able to rev motor in neutral and sounds fine but put it in gear and it wants to choke out and die. Again this only happens after motor has run a little while and then restarted. Help.

Welcome to iboats. Sounds like you may have a float stuck in your carb(s). Remove them all and clean them with a good soak, put new rebuild kits in them, and blow everything out with compressed air. Make sure that you replace the needle valve for the float seat. Buy a manual or get one from your local library and after you have the carbs done do a link n sync. The procedure is in the manual and is pretty straightforward.
