I have been given a V75 Seahorse motor, Mod # V4S 12S Ser # 2139556
Told it was a 1960 model
Looking at some magazine ads from 1960 listed on ebay it looks like it was quite the can-do motor..
I really just want to sell it and be rid of it. But what is it worth? It appears to be all complete and in good shape. it was stored indoors.
Is it worth more to sell it whole or to part it out...

Any info would be appreciated.
Boat motors aren't my thing, we part out vintage fords! But its amazing what comes along with junk cars.
I can supply pics if needed.

thanks

If the motor is of exceptional cosmetic condition, sell it whole. Otherwise it's worth a lot more by individual parts. Scrap what doesn't sell. They aren't very popular because they are gas hogs and not particularly fast.

the problem is it weight 216 lbs, shipping is a killer. i found the lowest prices at freightcenter.com strapped to a pallet.
