I just recently bought this boat and it run good when I bought it. Now it will give me one good run and start acting up. It goes full throttle then it dies down and shuts off. My uncle who is going to outboard repair school is looking at it for me, he has cleaned the carburator, replaced all the old wires in the motor, replaced the gas line with a new one. If anyone has any ideas of where else to look, they would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to iboats and congrats on having a fine engine. You are on the right track with the fuel I think. Make sure that when he takes the carb off that it is cleaned thoroughly with a good cleaner and everything blown out good with your air compressor. While he is there have him put a rebuild kit in it. They are about 20.00. Sounds like you might have a float stuck. Make sure that the float is level with the carb when turned upside down. Also make sure your tank is vented. If not then it can't suck fuel and you are running out. If you are going to take it out again before he does anything try this. When it starts to slow down, squeeze the primer bulb and see if it picks up. If it does then it probably needs a new fuel pump. If it still does it then check for weak spark when it starts to die with a timing light. If your coils are gooey or cracked, these are what the spark plug wires run out of, then replace them.
