I had posted something about this awhile back. I bought tickets for this show as a father's day gift for my dad......who to this say regrets selling the tickets he had when Pink Floyd toured through here in the 70's. It was the one concert he regretting not seeing, even though he has gone to so many really good ones (Petty, Stones, Beatles, Bowie, Eagles, and many more I cant even remember) Anyways he told me that last nights concert was the best he has ever gone to...................and it was REALLY REALLY good. Dark Side played continuous was just amazing. Comfortably Numb and Shine ON were my two favorites.

It was absolutely amazing, and the best part was seeing how much my dad enjoyed it.

Here are a few pics.....with my phone, so the quality is bad. The venue was at Summerfest, which is a HUGE 2 week long music festival on Lake Michigan. The first picture is standing at the top row looking out to the lake.

Ain't it amazing how these old rockers seem to just keep getting better & better with age? Most of them have their personal lives in order & the habits kicked so they can focus on the music! Glad to hear you guys enjoyed yourselves.

Saw them 1976 and 1999, both times in Tampa. Musically speaking, there is no equal.

Almost bought tickets for the WPB show...

Shame that Waters and Gilmore can't bury the hatchet and do it right...

A bunch from work went to the show, and said it was incredible. They also mentioned something about some kind of herb smell floating around the entire time??? :)

That smell was coming from the security and police lounge area. Seems they always have a supply. LOL.

Seen them in 1977, and in 1986? at county stadium.
AND..... I remember them. :)

I understand that Gilmore does little more than spend time in the garden and ride his pedal bike around. Too bad, derned shame. I've seen videos of European concerts they've done. Quite impressive!

Pony, you are a good son.
A lot of people that only like pop, and R&R ballads, hate Floyd, because they can't see the talent behind the group.
Been with Pink since Umma Gumma

That was a great gift.
My daughter saw David Gilmore last year and she cannot stop talking about it.
The first time I saw Floyd live was in 1970 in the Amsterdam Forest with America as their warm up Band.
I have been with them since "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn".

Glad you and your dad enjoyed the show, Pony.

I was to the show here in St Paul Saturday, and I agree it was an awesome spectacle. The visual effects were not as good as when I've seen Pink Floyd (with David Gilmour), but the music was far superior. Many of the songs I felt were better than the original. All in all it was an excellent concert.

Actually was invited at the last minute with some new friends to go. I chose to stay home and fix the floor.

Can anyone say, fool?

Sounds like you had a great time Pony. I bet your dad will never forget this.

Great story Pony. I agree Pink Floyd is a band you shouldnt miss.

Best concert memory I have is mid 90s, Pink Floyd, Rice Stadium (outdoors), Houston, TX.

With about 6 songs left in the set came a hurrendous thunderstorm. Pouring down rain and lightening everywhere. It was incredible. Only bad thing was they lost power and the concert was cut short.
