I'm looking for a source for rubber plugs I can use to close or fill a few misc. holes that previous owners drilled in the gunwale over the years. Are there other solutions to patch up holes like these?

Heh! Yeah, sorry about the missing details. The boat is aluminum and the holes are 1/2" in diameter mostly. Looks like they were made for wiring or some sort of accessories for fishing, or mounting stuff. Then there are a few 1/4" holes as well. I'll get some pictures shortly.

If you can get to the backside, tape over the front and marine tex the back.
Then, remove the tape and use marine bondo on the front to get a nice smooth finish.

That's a great idea! I can easily get to the back. Thank you!
