Cost estimate please on new impeller

Thanks for the help. I am waiting for a repair manual but how much would a new impeller in the water pump cost (materials and labor) at a repair shop? thanks again. I build hot rod Fords and this Mercury 4.5 HP looks complicated. I have enough stuff to trip over on the shop floor

The impeller is between 10-20 bucks I don't know what the labor would be, but it isn't much of a job to do it your self...............Jerry

A shop is going to charge a minium of 1 hr labor, but probably can do it 30 minutes "if" all went well.

Go to http://www.crowleymarine.com/mercury_parts/681/17.cfm, which is a 1987 4.5 HP or go to http://www.crowleymarine.com and select Mercury, etc. then parts for your <year> and <HP>. The 1987 is priced just about $15.50. At a minimum shop time of an hour you can expect $75-100 for labor. View the various component schematics under Crowley to see what is involved. It's not real hard.
