What analyzer works on mercury

I have a 1977 850 Mercury. I have a timing light with inductive pick-up. I need to get a small engine analyzer that works on my motor that will help me with tuning. My hearing is about shot and I need to be able to seea tach to adjust the carbs. I have a VOM meter. Thanks for any info.

you should get a DVA for your VOM. OR you can get a VOM with the DVA built in. This for staor and trigger voltages. As far as tune up goes, read this:

Thanks Ricksrster, I realize I actually have a VOA not a VOM. I'm not sure what a DVA is. I put that tune up thing as a favorite so I won't lose it. A few years ago this motor was worked on by a boat shop. I can't afford that luxury anymore and will wrench on it mysef from now on. I'm pretty good on 4 strokes (cars & old Ford tractor) but 2strokes I've never messed with. I'm already going bald so if I tear a little hair out it won't really matter

It is identical to the Quicksilver by Mercury.
