Re: NYT: "The Road Home"
I guess the first link, the one that went to the ?
CPUSA?, was supposed to show some similarities to the Dems, because they were cheering last November?s election.
Hmm, my read was that they held their nose, and voted, as many will most likely do in about a year and a half.
Quote form the link
<<The Nov. 7, 2006, election was a people?s victory. It was a stunning blow to the Bush Administration and the Republican Party, thus creating a far more favorable political terrain in the Congress and the country...>>
Went to the second link, much to my surprise it was factual; I guess you screwed that one up.
Quote from second link
<Quote Attorney General A. Gonzales
"There has not been one verified case of civil liberties abuse," Gonzales told senators on April 27, 2005.>
Gonzales received a report six days earlier from the FBI about the Patriot Act that described how agents had obtained personal information that they were not entitled to have.
In fact, in the three months before Gonzales testified before the Senate intelligence committee, he received at least six reports that detailed legal or procedural violations that had occurred under the Patriot Act. ?..hhmm?wonder what that smacks of???
I feel your pain, I have been inconvenienced and put out of work by the
spotted owl, hate to say it but ?
environmental issues/eminent domain?, are not confined to any specific party.
Class warfare, the choice here so plentiful it is hard to choose a starting point.
I will start with the
shrinking middle class.
President Bushes budget proposal for fiscal year 2007 out of touch with reality and America?s middle-class .President Bush doesn?t address the soaring costs of health care, education, and energy, he makes them worse. The tab for the Iraq war grows by at least $200 million each and every day.
The President has requested that Congress raise the federal debt limit for the fourth time since taking office. He needs to do this so he can so he can give tax breaks to his oil company cronies, campaign contributors in drug companies, and an assortment of multi billionaires..
The President gives the green light too Companies that manufacture good in the United States and pay taxes here, to move there operations overseas so they can avoid paying taxes.
The President?s fiscal year 2007 budget would increase the national debt to $12 trillion by 2011, more than double the $5.7 trillion of debt when he took office. Now tell me again about class warfare, when the President seems hell bent on eliminating the middleclass, which I am presently a proud member of. Tell me again why it is so wrong to pay as you go, rather than saddle my grandchildren, and their grandchildren, with the bill. Please explain to me how paying as you go can be called Socialism/Communism.
Lets talk about that old Commie favorite, redistribution of wealth. Lets see how it is done under President Bush. ?
President Bush said that most of the tax cuts went to low and middle income Americans. The fact is that 53 percent will inrichen the incomes in the top
10 percent over the 15 years that began in 2001.
Yep, definitely a Commie Plot. According to the
IRS,in the years 2001 and 2002 the taxes actually declined in the top 0.1 percent.
Damn
Commies, have the nerve to ask for a raise in the minimum wage. Well it?s been redistributed
President Bush style, Rob the middle class, give to the top 0.1 percent.
You?re right no one kicking down doors yet, that are if you didn?t live in New Orleans after Katrina ,if you were unfortunate enough to be citizen of that poor city, you had the privilege of having
Blackwater USA patrolling you?re streets. We have
gutted posse comitatus , habeas corpus has been nullified, and legislation to take over the Government is in place,
domestic spying,
American Gulags and your concern is why liberals swoon over the mention o f Chavez and Castro,
whatever.
The next year and a half will surly be fun, watching (
Drag Queen Rudy), (Mitt mad dog Roomney), and (
Fred Watergate mole Thompson) trying to
separate themselves from President Bush.
