hello everyone

thanks for the brilliant forum, i'm certain it will come in handy when i start to restore the 2 engines i have just received.

i was looking for the years of the 2 outboards i picked up yesterday. the serial numbers are:
Evinrude Fastwin 180502S C44B661 18HP
Evinrude 6 Fisherman 6603B C473049

i have tried searching on google but everything that comes up does not have those serial numbers listed. I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

6603 is a valid model number with the alpha extension being a model run within the 1966 year.

I don't find the first number in any of the sources I have, Maybe you could check it again; 18502, for example, is the number for a 18hp 1965 model. The serial number indicates that it is slightly older than the 6hp.
