I am hoping I have diagnosed my problem correctly. I am having a drop in RPMs after about 4500 to WOT. Motor only has about 60 hrs on it but it is 20 years old. Has run perfect all along since purchasing it last summer. Last two times out she would not open up or would bog. Sounds like fuel starvation. Idles and starts right up. Can the carb body be soaked in Berrymans w/o removing the plastic parts. I am afraid of breaking them pulling them off. Want this thing up and running again by next weekend. As always your replies are very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Answering my own question. I read the can of Berrymans. Do not soak rubber or plastic parts.

Check your fuel filter first and lines first, they are easy. Could it be pin-hole leak in the fuel line letting air in? I wouldn't know. I have cleaned out carbs before using carb cleaner and sending it down the fuel line to the carbs with compressed air and blowing them out. Some times it works, but usually if the carbs are dirty it comes down to a tear down to get it right. They really aren't that hard though. You just have to be patient and be very attentive to what you're doing. Good luck.

Thank you Agent. Still baffling me. Cleaned out the carbs, new fuel pump, bypassed the fuel filter, tried different gas tank and line. I guess I'll replace the internal fuel lines first, then purchase the rebuild kit. Will post results as they happen. Thanks again.

Be sure you test for fire on that model when the problem is happening. Some of the 3 cylinder CDI's on them would fail intermittently.
