I have two questions the first in when at a slow speed 2. to 5 mph the engine will have a little hesitation every once and a while. it runs fine at medium to full where should I start looking? Second question is it possible to change the outdirve at a later date to a duoprop. The boat is an 1994 Seaswirl 212.

Could be carb adjustment, could be in need of a full tuneup, or both. How long since a full tuneup?

Not to jump in your thread, but with a new reman engine (5.7 omc Jasper), mine does the same. I have brand new carb, dist, wires, coil, alternator- all new,new fuel lines, pump and anti-siphon valve;new late model esa, and mine will burp after 5 minutes of no wake, but otherwise runs great. New fuel/water, no water in it. Plugs look good, even shutting down right away, after the burp.
Don, the crystal ball says? Seems like the same problem.

Normally, I would think gaffie and mine would be loading up, carb-wise, but i dunno. I'm throwing this in his thread, as I have all new parts, with the same stupid problem, so maybe we can rule out a bunch of tests- I have run all of The Don tests.

the engine is a ford 5.7 fuel injection hat tuneup end of last year

where would i go to get information on changing to a duoprop

Uhhhh, it's either a Chevy 5.7, or a Ford 5.8........... which is it
What is the full model number of your engine, including ALL the letters after the 5.whatever?
