I visit and participate on various other boards (I know, I know, 40 lashes). But after buying a used Bayliner and going to that Bayliner specific board (BOC) thinking that I would get sterling Bayliner information, I was very disappointed. In fact, after getting no or non-satisfatory responses to TEN different posts, I posted my questions here and had half a dozen responses in 2 hours.

I realize that the "famous" BOC is only frequented by owners of the big bayliners.... 28 foot to 54 foot models. My 16 foot cuddy was not worthy.

So accolades to iboats.com for attracting the most knowledgable and interactive members on the web!

Way to go iboats.com!

I just bought a VHF from these good folks. Why? Because of this site that they sponsor and support. I could have got it elsewhere, but wouldn't that have just been rediculous.

Glad to see you finally made it, I saw your threads over there, I agree with you, I invited some of them to come check this totally awsome site, but B.O.C erased them, guess they didn't like me telling their members about Iboats:D Iboats don't say "THE #1 SITE FOR EVERYTHING BOATING " for no reason.

Well, they made a good reply and redressed me accordingly. I feel it would not be fair if I did not link in the offending thread.

PLEASE, mods do not delete this. It is a lesson in interpersonal skills and boating experiences. Not a slap at iboats. If anything, you look great!

I joined another boat forum before this one and I was directed here by people on there maybe someone that is on here. I don't know after I got here I never went back there.

I was a member of BOC once. Asked a few questions and either was ingnored or ridiculed. Personally I call some of them snobs. Came directly to this site right after my altercation with them. Been here every since and have met some very fine people,,,,,,,,,inlcuding the great SBN! :D

I used to post on that site a bit. I used to post daily on Floridasportmen. But it just got too snobbish on the equipment end also, and the membership was invaded by some very nasty people. It ruined a good thing. I do miss some of my old buds over there, but the injection of new axe holes they aquired was more than I personally could tolerate.

Here, for some reason, EVERYONE has respect for everyone else (generally-speakin). Never seen anything like iboats anywhere else online! Can't explain it, and do not care. Like my dog after a walkabout, i know where "home" is.

IMO, it starts at admin, they choose the mods, of which we have decent crew, they allow a little BS but not a whole lot. So, a tip of the hat to our mods.:)
