I am new to the forum, and have read alot of the posts here, so I am turning to you guys/gals for some opinions.

I am looking at buying a boat. My last boat was a Bayliner 2755 that was moored in a marina on Lake Superior. That got expensive so I sold it. one of the boats that I am looking at is a Crestliner 1750 Sport fish. It is pretty much a bare bones boat with a trailer and it needs new interior due to fading. It has the Volvo Penta 3.0. It seems like a decent boat from what I have read and I know from hearing stories around the marina that people reallly like the Volvo Penta engines.
I will be using it on lakes in MN for fishing walleyes predominantly, It will be trailered wherever I go. Once in a while I would like to taking the family on a pleasure cruise or pulling a tube or skiers around a lake as well.
I would like to know if anyone has had experience with this boat, and what I should look for, or look out for. They are asking $6700 for the boat which seems high, but let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Erik

Re: 1995 Crestliner 1750 Sportfish

That 95 crestliner even though a 17' is going to hold its value pretty well. I do question the idea of faded interior on it though. It suggests to me that it was left outside uncovered. Which also suggests there may be other basic maintence issues.

I have an 88 Crestliner phantom and other then some wear, the color is still nice. Hell, the origional paint on the motor still has a shine to it.

Basically that sportfish is a hell of a nice and flexible boat. But as with any boat check it out REAL good.
