Does it come out the lower left hand corner of the gimbal cause i have a hose running down there. I wasnt sure if this was a pick up or a dump.
I need a manual LOL

To answer your questions.. Running on muffs is not a good indicator that your waterpumpis working fine. It will force water in and not use the pump to suck it in. It is best to emulate through the use of a trough..

Also, on the Alpha 1, you will see water coming out near the transom when idling or at low speed. If you rev it, you will see it come out of the prop. The transom are relief holes I believe..

Stoped by the marina today to pick up the pump kit, and i asked the tech there what the funny looking hose hanging out the back of the drive was. He looked at me like i was crazy and asked me to describe it. Well after telling him more info we looked at some schematics for the drive and it seems as if the pick up hose from the outdrive has fallen off, that explaines the overheating. I am still going to replace the pump just because. But it would be nice if this was the only issue. Will keep you updated.
This is the hose that goes on the nipple down by the bellows......
