This doesn't happen all the time but sometimes when I turn the key nothing happens and then after a couple of tries the motor turns over.

Has any one had this problem? I cleaned the battery connections, have not tried to clean the starter connections yet, I was thinking it may be the ignition key switch. Oh yes put a brand new battery in also.

It could be the ignition switch, but it's more likely to be a bad starter relay or starter motor.. You need to find the starter motor/relay and check that you are getting 12volts to the relay when the ignition switch is turned to the start position.

Yes mine did the same exact thing as your describing, I followed Don S advice and started checking all the connections and cleaned them as I did, haven't had a prob since, Don s has posted the check list just a few minutes ago, You might want to check it out.

We like success stories.:D Also make sure you are getting a good clean connection (battery, seleniod etc..)while your checking every thing.
