1967 Evinrude manual shift sport four(V) 60 hp
model 60733

I rebuilt the carb , new float, needle and seat.
The fuel runs through the engine and drops out the peep hole on lower unit.( can see trail in water.)
Also replaced fuel line, i get pressure on bulb, just softer than tennis ball.
i didn't hear the fuel squirt through engine, like before with old parts i had replaced on carb.the boat would only go 5mph and die when throttle was increased.
also it blew a spark plug out and i was only running on 3 cylinders, i did not know this. i took the heads off and am going to install heli coils

Question?

Is carb float and needle the only thing i should be looking at?
is there another place i should look?

next question is timing, dose anyone know how to for this model, checked my manual a couple times , it through back and forth.. left me more confused.

good news my lower rebuild worked!

When the motor is shut off does fuel continue to run out the front of the carb for a short period of time? With the motor off can you force fuel out carb by squeezing the bulb?

i don't know, can tell the difference it makes
when i took out of the water it was still leaking engine off, a good stream out of the lower unit.
i unhooked the fuel line at that time. i guess i don't have the answer to your question, i will play with tomorrow and see.

but in the water with the motor off i saw fuel trail and the fuel pump primer got soft , so pumped back up a little
