Carter AFB Carb Question??

My boat has a Carter AFB 4BBL carb installed on my mercrusier 5.7L LX. Does any one know if this carb has a govenor on it??? Every time I hit 4000RPMs it makes the motor bounce like it has a govenor of some sort.

run some menthol hydrate through and check fuel filter?

Is that the Merc./ Weber copy of the Carter AFB,..??.....
Or is it a replacement Carter AFB,..??...

Either Way,..... There's No Govenors on that carb, or any other Boat Carbs.....

It sounds like Your's is Starving for Fuel.....
Start by changing the Fuel Filters.....

Its the Weber copy of the Carter AFB Carb.
