I have 1994 MPI fuel injected 5.0L Fords with VP SX drives and I need to raise the idle on one engine about 500rmp. Anyone know what screw or cable I need to tweek.

This engine is running a little low on the idle and when docking and changing gears back and forth it will sometimes stall. It seems that when during a shift the revs don't come back up quick enough.

Both engines have had new plugs/wires/dist cap & rotor/oil/exh mans & risers/thermostats this spring.

Thanks

You can't, it's computer controlled......... Why would you want to raise it 500 rpm???????? What is the other engine idling at?

Re: Adjusting Idle on MPI

Sorry Don not 500rpm about 50-75rpm
The good motor idles at 650 and doesn't stall between shifts.

The one that stalls just doesn't seem to recover quick enough from the lull during neutral.

After the tune-up could this be timing?
It starts and runs well.

Re: Adjusting Idle on MPI

Then you have a problem with the engines EFI system somehwere. Get it fixed and it will idle the same and not stall.
