This one has me stumped and I hope that some has an idea. I have a 1975 Glastron with the Volvo Penta AQ170C straight 6. The engine runs fine for about an hour. I can run at full speed with no issues. About an hour after being out I start to lose power. It acts as if it's not getting enough fuel or possibly getting to much and flooding. After backing off the throttle and running at idle for a few minutes I can then push it back up to 3,500 rpm. Now it starts to lose power every couple of minutes. I go through the same procedure to get going again. My first thought was a vapor lock and it still could be that. However, all attempts at fixing that have failed. The carbs have been rebuilt, I have a brand new fuel pump, brand new fuel filter. New wires and plugs. The only thing inginition wise that I haven't replaced yet is the coil. Someone suggested that the coil may be overheating and causing the problem. Anyone else have any ideas? Was hoping to take the boat on vacation here in 2 weeks and would love get this problem solved by then. So any help is GREATLY appreciated!
