I have 1967 sport four (V-4) electric start Evinrude 60hp model 60733
I need some question answered.
The distributor has timing mark on it and on the metal ring opposite that say " start here", to me that mean that the arrow should be at that start point to be in time when the boat throttle is in neutral. See pic 1
also note: the time mark is off by 1/2 when throttle is fully down.
Is this correct? If not where do adjust the timing? Throttle cable?
The fly wheel also has a set like that, which I am going to put timing light too.
Note: I have the heads off now and when the timing marks on flywheel are lined up one cylinder is tdc.
Can any help , I got to order a new manual , the one I have stinks
