Motor not charging, how to test rectifier/reg. ? What would be difference in 35 amp and 10 amp rect/reg?

the 35 amp is a larger device that bolts onto the top of the block between the top cylinders ,partly under the flywheel,it has a heat sinc that is cooled by the circulating water,the 10 amp is a triangular device that is mounted on the starboad ide of the block,they put the 35 amp on the seadrives to give more power to the electrical circut helping the trim and tilt and other options,the cost differance is huge

try doing a search of this site ,it should get you something,you will need a few electrical test items ,ammeter,variable load tester
