I just picked up an 82 Celebrity with a GM 305 I/O. I'm trying to find information on the exact boat but am having trouble. I can't even figure out what model it is by looking at the title. It says 18ft Celebrity. It's in really good shape and up to this point seems to need nothing more than cleaning and getting all the safety gear on board.

I am also interested in changing the exterior color cause I'm not real crazy about brown w/orange-tan stripes. I am an exoerienced car painter. What would you recommend for painting in terms of brand or exact type. I would assume that a two part urethane would be fine, especially since I don't really need to paint below thw water line.

Thanks

Didn't Dupont make a Boat-Aircraft paint called IMRON. I think you need a gas mask when spraying this paint!!!!

Celebrity sold to Bombardier in 1995, then sold to Electric Marine in Quebec in 1998, last produced in 2001 was at www.celebrityboats.com

The site you are currently on has information on celebrity boats, by year make and size.

Fred Claxton started Celebrity boats in 1977. He left in 1991 and started Crownline boats. In 1995, Celebrity boats was purchased by Bombardier.
