Re: tilt/trim not working
If the relays by the trim motor are clicking but nothing is happening then you either have a bad motor or no electricity arriving at the trim motor. The relays switch 12 volts to 2 wires (1 wire makes the motor turn in a clockwise direction to raise the drive, the other wire makes the motor turn in an anti-clockwise direction, lowering the drive) on the motor (there is a third wire which is grounded). You need to get a voltmeter and check that you have 12 volts arriving to the relays (there is usually a big fuse between the positive supply and the relays. The fuse is usually bolted to the relays..
If you have 12 volts arriving at both relays, then you need to check that you also have 12 volts after the relay (with the trim switch held in the appropriate position to engage the relay your are measuring). Then check that the 3rd wire on the motor is making good contact to ground. If you have 12 volts at the motor (measured between the 3rd wire and the appropriate other wire) then your motor is dead, if you don't have 12 volts then you have a wiring issue between the motor and the relay.
See if you can find a wiring diagram as it will make my explanation easier to follow.
