I didn't until I heard it on the radio that the Feds can turn on your cell phone and evesdrop without you knowing it. I could really care less since I don't have anything to keep from uncle Sam. If it is for the saftey of our country, I'm all for it.

Of course, if you take the battery out, there is no way they can turn on the mic of your phone.

I once read an article not too long ago that the Chinese govt' were doing just that to flush out and persecute Falun Gong supporters, as well as unregistered religious movements. :(

Hopefully they will turn it on while I'm in the sheeter, that way they'll hear exactly what I think of them.;):D:D

The article says the technique works anywhere in the United States. I wish they would share that technology with cell phone providers they're partnering with because cell phone service is patchy at best.

Not yet you don't. What happens when we've given up all of our privacy rights and the government has evolved into something far more despicable than it is today? We are all to willing to give up our freedoms for the cause of security considering only our current perceived status apparently wthout thinking for a moment of what the consequences might be tomorrow. It could only take a couple of election cycles to completely change the character of the national govt.

How would you all feel about giving up all of your privacy rights to Hillary's administration or worse? What would they do with harvested personal information? When do Political enemies become suspects and criminals? Look to the East.

Why do we talk about which of our rights we'd rather keep and which we could do without?

We are not being protected as much as we are being controlled.. by fear.

Hey, I don't mind giving up a few freedoms. I wasn't really using them anyway.
