after having the engine rebuilt im ready to re-install the out drive. i took a great deal of care making sure the motor settled back onto its old position when i put it back in.
i dont have an alignment tool handy, but i do have an extra input yoke to use to check the alignment before i put the out drive back on. is this method sufficient? ive tried the yoke and it slides in smoothly and with ease and you can feel the slight resistance as the o rings seat. I know the alignment tool is ideal but to get one would take a week. any advice?
