That's a 1949 Sea King 5 hp two cylinder, reverse the first two numbers to get the year, made by Gale...a subsidiary of Evinrude/Johnson/OMC. Good motors. Check out the FAQ forum and read the post "Awakening a Sleeping Outboard." It will tell you how to service it and how to bring it back to life.

Welcome, motor is 49-50 5 hp.built by the Gale devision of OMC.(Evinrude,Johnson)Unfortunately it doesn't share much with those motors.
The ignition system may share parts with the Johnson TD20 and HD 25.
And it of course shares parts with many private brands built by Gale.
You may find reprint manuals at Kencook.com.
Tune up specs on yours are.Champion J6C plugs set at .030.Points set at 020. Fuel mix is 16:1 use TCW3 rated oil.

If you use TC-W3 outboard oil you can get by with a 24:1 fuel mix, Scott.
