i would like too change my 2.5 to a 5.0 will my out drive take it and will it bolt up to my exsistin bell housing

As a suggestion, you might want to tell us what outdrive you currently have. I doubt your outdrive will take a 2x increase in power, but that's a crap shoot until you tell us the specifics of your outdrive..

like Tommays had told you in your other post, it wont work, if your boat was built for a 4cyl. you better keep it that way, putting in a v8 will lead to major safety problems, unless you reglass the whole boat again

Outboard powered boats have a max HP stamped on the spec plate, not so with I/O's. It's up to the manufacturer to determine what is safe and appropriate, then allow the buyer to choose from a limited range of options.
Find out what the manufacturer offered for your particular model. If it included a V8, go for it. But as mentioned, the outdrive will not be suitable, so be prepared to replace the whole package.

Pretty hard to answer this question without knowing what boat you have, specifically what outdrive, what year, etc. Bare minimum is that the gear ration in the outdrive will be incorrect.
