foam in the bow

The foam that is in the bow was there for a reason, but also can hold water and moisture? is there another option for the foam, or is it best to leave it in place and make sure the boat is tilted bow up for better drainage and drying

Foam in the bow or elsewhere needs to be protected from water or else be of a closed cell kind. If your bow foam is exposed, it is likely closed cell.

My 70's speedboat has a chunk of foam under the dashboard. It is closed cell foam....
