1988 Sportcraft Sprint Bowrider - info

1988 Sportcraft Sprint Bowrider 15'
I am interested in purchasing this boat and before I go to have a look at it I am wondering if anyone has any info or knowledge in regards to it.
It currently has a 45 HP Nissan on it.
Does anyone know what the max Hp rating would be? Weight, issues with this make or particular model?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

I see that your msg is a year old I hope you found another Sport-Craft. I just wanted to tell you that I have a 1500Sprint with 90hp yamaha and it hauls butt. Over 40 on my GPS. I love this boat, my son and I got it cheap and have spent very little to make it a very neat cruiser. I have not seen to many Sprints since I got mine, I dont know if they sold many down here in Fla.

1st post and my first boat. I just joined to get a little info. I just bought a Sport-Craft 1500 for $350. I'm in the process of putting in a new floor and then I'll be working on the mechanicals. It has no interior as well so I have my work cut out for me. It came with a 1964-1965 evinrude starflight 90-s. I can't decide if I want to replace the engine or try to use this one. It has good compression but it is very old.

Nice Sprint. Mine is not a bowrider. But its a great little boat. I have had bigger, faster, and a lot more expensive but not as much fun. We fish, ski and tube off the our boat and its a blast. I have a 90 Yammy on ours and its plenty fast. I'm sorry it took me to reply but I had not check the site in a while.
