Im replacing fuel line from tank to seperater,it now has 7/16".The largest Ive seen on a outboard is 3/8",could the larger diameter cause any problems?Ive also been told to put a electric fuel pump in line would increase performance,is this true? Much Thanks Micel

Re: 1997 dt150 suzuki fuel line

Thanks for input JIT,I wonder how much head pressure the oem outboard pumps can take because I have seen quite a few little 4-7psi,and 35gph pumps in use on bay and bass boats.I think the idea came from some body seeing one on a larger boat which would require a 25'+ run of fuel line.I guess I'm going to go ahead and rerig fuel line with 7/16"ID,the only difference I can think of would be increased flow,I've just have not seen anything larger than 3/8" on a outboard.

I would stick with the factory fuel pump. The 3/8 line should not make much of a difference, if any difference at all.
