I'll second Iron Maiden. There are so many cheap boats out there. I bought one and the voltage regulator went. $400 to replace/modify.

Listen to these guys. There are reasons for everything. Not just "Let's make it expensive for marine guys.:

You aren't the first to come up with this brilliant idea.

Remember, if it breaks, there's no where to pull over.

Hey I liked Maiden back in the day and still will listen to it if it's on!

I ditched the idea of the 4.3 and the idea of staying with either of the 4 cylinder engines that I have.
I chose instead to go with a 3.8. It's a complete package that I removed from a running boat.
