Johnson Sea Horse..?

My father has had an old Johnson Sea Horse motor sitting in the garage for some time, and was curious to know some information about it. The serial number is 505119 and the Model number is S D15

If anyone could tell me what the year is, what horsepower, and how many were made.. it would be much appreciated! I could get photos of the motor if needed. Thanks

Looks like your 16 hp Johnson was built in 1946 according to the serial number.
