Yeah, I think he was trying to spin it, but there was a wake he didn't expect. No way he did that on purpose. Coulda killed the chickybabe if she hits her head on the windshield . . . (BTW I am not sexist, I love chickybabes)

What the heck is he doing with the throttle at the end?

That's the same thing I was confused about ^^^^ Maybe he wanted to insure that it got a decent gulp of water . . .

He definitely threw it into reverse. When he comes up out of the water it's in reverse and that's how he gets most of the water out of it; out the open bow. I think he cuts the wheel over and nails reverse to get the bow to dig in and I do believe it's done on "porpoise". Sorry, couldn't help myself :D

That boat musta had some serious weight in the bow or something, I think the throttle action was to keep the engine running. Very strange. JR

We get close to that everytime we use the Correct Craft in choppy water

Even just crossing your own wake on a calm day has to be done with caution compared to a normal boat

It sorta reminds me of those CarFax ads on t.v.. You know "Boat for sale Interior just cleaned" And I can't believe I'm not getting any reaction from my pun.

Just saw this . . . Read the posts below the vid. The guy posts that he definitely did not do it on porpoise.

TG kinda posted it in a weird place....

I watched it over and over and I see him spinning the wheel really hard. Can't quite see him pull back on the throttle.
KrAzY fer sure...:D

Not really, foaming is generally controversial...... As in it cant happen to me....just thought actualling see a boat dig in like that would be a good part of the thought process...;) or as Tommay say's open bow's at sea...

That happened to us this weekend due to a jackass in a 26' roaring out of the marina. It is a sickening feeling, especially with 5 people on board.

What is the proper method to try and avoid this?

I dunno about this. Notice that the girl turns face backwards just before he plants it.
