Man, I have to get back down there soon! I miss the crystal clear water!
I see you guys got some bugs!!!
Where we stayed last year on Little Torch we had a floating dock; this is where I spent 3 of the 4 nights I was there on a big cushy lounge chair under a billion stars gently bobbing on the dock. It was great!
I am planning on going down for Fantasy Fest and staying on Little Torch; we'll hit the parades in Key West one or two nights and spend the rest of the time boating and diving.
my brother has a place in little torch... its like heaven. Think Marathon w/ tougher boating and less yahoo's. Try and find No Name Bar if you are there.
(im not certain but that womans Lobster looked a little short!)
We have set plans to visit Big Pine the first week in July. After visiting the keys for the first time February 07 we were hooked. I did a 'SNUBA' dive while in Marathon and loved it. Upon return home I located a Dive Shop and signed up for SCUBA. This trip I plan as many dives as I can!
We're taking our 8 year old grandson with us this trip. He reminds me of me at that age. We have spent the past couple summers snorkeling in Lake Erie when conditions permit. Tube and flag in tow we often venture out to 10' - 12' depth and freedive on artifacts or chasing cray-fish. He is going to flip out when he first enters the water on the reef!! I have pictures posted if interested... http://borgpics.ulmb.com/Scuba/index.html
strike zone charters, has the best for the money, trips out to the looe key. it is the last place on the right on big pine, going south. we stay just across the bridge on the left. we went with them a couple of times, now venture out the the reef on our own.
