Someone gave me a mint Quicksilver stainless prop. He told me I need some sort of hub thingy. What is he talking about so I can do a search for one? Thanks

You need the whichamacallit that fits on the dohicky.

To put a Merc prop on a Yamaha you'll probably need the Merc thrust washer. It depends on which thrust washer you have now. Try it with the thrust washer you have now. If it's not spaced right then you'll know what to look for.

You'll probably also need the correct exchangeable hub that will fit a Quicksilver onto a Yami, if that's an exhangeable hub, depends on how old the prop is. If it is then the Flo Torqu II brand hubs should have one that will fit a Yami.

Thanks for the help guys. I found this hub kit [see pic], and asked the guy if it is what I need. He said if my Quicksilver prop has the "flow torque option" I don't know if it does or not  Can I tell by looking at the prop? P.S. It's for my 98/99 Yami 150c. Thanks again:)

OK I found this info on the prop this morning: Quicksilver Mirage 48 13700 A41 19p. Hope this helps. Mike

:( I've been doing alot of research, and it looks like I'm screwed. Thought I could use a Flo-Torq kit, but my prop is an older model [solid hub]. Too bad :(

Ok, you're back to putting a Merc prop (that has a standard rubber hub) on a Yamaha. The only thing you might need is the Merc thrust washer. Put it on using the Yamaha thrust washer you have now and see where it sits.

I'm running a prop that has a Merc hub on my 150 Yamaha now. No big deal.
