The local rental place is selling their used motors for $200 ( the ones that have been pulled from the rental fleet, due to a wide array of problems) i.e. "stuck in gear", "oil leak", "stalls", "runs rough", "won't start", etc. they have no real mechanic there so they have just hung them up as they've become troublesome. They are all '90's w/ one exception. Sounds like a good deal... but which should be the easiest to repair?

For that price I'd get at least 2 and have one for spare parts.

One other question... does each manufacturer have a unique fitting for their gas line connection at the tank and motor??? ... or is it a universal fitting?... Evinrude fits Yamaha, etc.

I think I would go for the engines that "stall". Yamaha uses a different gas line setup than OMC. You might want to get 3 or 4 at that price.

Where are these engines located? I am sure some forum member would be happy to know!
