Engine Hoist Help

I have a 1983 four winns Liberator that is about 5 feet high while on the trailer. I need to get the old enigine out and the new one in ... All th hoists I see are like 4 feet tall any adive on how to get this engine out?

A tall tree with a stout limb......& chain hoist...
Build something out of 4x4's.....& chain hoist.....
Rent a forklift.....
I'm sure some others will have some input.....
Ya might search in the 'search' function for some ideas....:)

You would be surprised how tall a motor hoist can go. I bought this one from Harbor Fright Tools for 130 bucks. It also helps breaking the motor down to the block and heads. You can get the chain much lower to the motor and give you more lifting room.

Ive taken the wheels off the trailer and set it on smaller blocks.

As suggested earlier use some 4"x2"x10' for the uprights and a 4"x4"x8' for the cross beam plus some bolts. Total cost $48 at home depot!!

Sorry the picture is a bit dark. It was 9:00pm when we got the engine out.
