I own a 1995 Sea Ray bowrider w/ Merc 5.0 260 HP. While underway, the boat is leaning slightly to the left. What could be causing this?

I think your leaning problem is poor weight distrubution. I had the same problem. when sitting still all was well but underway the boat leaned bad to the port side. I evened out the (people) weight and all is well now. Is your fuel tank center lined or offset this is an issue also. Try moving the weight around and that should help.It does not take much weigh at all to trow some boats off center Do you have a hydrofoil on your drive that could be a issue also

I can't see weight distribution being the problem. Is there some kind of adjustment I can make to the hydrofoil & how?

Take it off and see what happens it would be a good start. I never used hydrofoils and never heard anything good about them. I have hydraulic trim tabs.

I have read other post here stating that hydrofoils make there boats do strange things. I would bet this is a big part of your problem and I would not leave out a weight issue also.

the reason your boat is leaning is the hydrofoil, take it off and put smart tabs on the boat if you need help planing. the smart tabs puts the lift at the place it belongs, on the outside bottom of the transom. the hydrofoil put the lift in the center of the boat, and top of the transom, pushing the bow down, thus interferring with the weight distrubution center of gravity. if you notice a little shift in weight movement in the stern of the boat, it will make a difference with way the boat handles, with the foil on. i had this problem, and removing the foil improved it. and the smart tabs solved to total problem.
