I have a 1975 650 65hp merc, runs great and has a good prop and good compression. Whats it worth?

Hi,

Of course you realize that it also depends on where you live. If it's going into winter now where you are...that's not going to help things. Not too many people are thinking about boating.

Then; if you live near Lake Tahoe where they haven't allowed carbed 2-strokes for a few years now...you're probably going to have to go the e-bay route...with associated lower prices to you because of the high shipping costs.

Why do you ask? Are you putting it up for sale; or just curious? If your inquiry is for insurance reasons...sometimes you should figure the replacement cost; not the used value. Depends on how the policy is written.

Where I live...$150-$250 with controls...on a good day and someone needs parts. The best way to get highest $$$ is take it apart and sell piecemeal on ebay.

I agree...It's not really worth anything except to someone who has one now that needs a discontinued part.
