I WRITE ABOUT HEAVY SHAKE OF THE MOTOR, IN LAST WRIT UP.
I SINCE, HAVE CORRECT MANY PROBLEMS
REPLACED CARB GASKET , TURNED DOWN LOW SPEED NEEDLES(adjusted right)
and cleaned up plugs and disturb, points set and gap , lubed Bendix spiral shaft, note this helped the boat start much easy, replaced pack or jam nuts for low speed needles , this made noticeable difference in tightness of needle when be turned, before vary loose. Cleaned all +, - connect connections. pressure checked 90 all cylinders cold motor / not warmed up ...ya 90 psi...

So after all that, run the motor ...
The motor still has a heavy shake will shake to starboard side.

note , when i turn the flywheel by hand clock wise , 180 degrees the is vary little resistance and the other 180 degrees vary stiff.
i work on the thought that all piston are cycled in 360 degree turn of flywheel ?
Is this normal?

The same thing happens when motor's running , sounds good for a couple seconds then drops out like dieing (can keep up) and comes back.

my thoughts: on bad engine running
bad spark wires
bad spark ground ..they have heil coils installed
bad point

I am going to pull all plugs and check to make sure the are all cylinders are getting fuel mix. That should kind help rule carb no fuel problem.

You said "The same thing happens when motor's running , sounds good for a couple seconds then drops out like dieing (can keep up) and comes back."

This thing that happens every few seconds, is it like a thump or bump like you ran over something in the water? That sounds like a worn out clutch dog and forward gear in the lower unit. It is coming out of gear, rotating 180 degrees and slamming back into gear, giving that heavy bump feeling.

Don't know if this is what you are telling us or not.

Re: Heavy motor shaking Part 2

well, it was in netural and idling when checked under no load .the lower has bin checked , but not clutch dog. manual turn of lower threw gears seem to mess fine and not slip.
It happens low speed and idle , high speed you don't notice. i don't think the prop shaft is bent .

The problem was notice after hitting rock and stripping prop blades.
but the boat has never been out much 3 times, every time some problem so hard to gauge if it was always there... it would only run 2 -5 mph when i got it.
the main bolt for motor was loose, and steering cable mount was loose.
