I've got a '04 stardeck aurora 2000 deck boat without the full window across the front. Instead it has the short "motorcycle like" windshield. Have you seen any rear view mirrors I can somehow mount? Any pictures of what it would look like or links would be great.

thanks.

hit the marine store link at the top of the pages here and type in 'mirror'. there are all kinds that can mount on windshield frame or even suction cup.

there are a bunch to choose from. the CIPA mirrors are great for watersports. i think i'm going to try one of these next, i just broke my 14x7.

The new 6x20-inch CIPA EXTREME (patent pending) is the first ever multi-lens convex mirror designed exclusively for ski boats. The center 12x6-inch lens is stationary and the two end 4x6-inch lenses are adjustable for extreme rear view coverage. With the new EXTREME, boat drivers do not have to turn around anymore to catch the action on the slalom course, or a wakeboarder's air maneuvers

Mirrors are a distraction to your driving.
You need to keep your eyes on the water and boats around you, not on the tuber.
Thats why you have a spotter.

i use my mirror all the time, not just when i have a rider. the 14x7's are like school bus mirrors, can see just about everything behind you.

roscoe- are you afraid of your reflection? haha

in TX don't need a spotter if you have a mirror

Well, having a mirror is a really good idea if you are motoring along w/ no one in tow and no spotter, and you decide to close the throttle and come to a stop. With a mirror you are more likely to notice the pwc or real boat behind you. C'mon, how many people do a 180 degree shoulder check before chopping the throttle :)

I've seen a few guys staring into the mirror, watching junior, and not watching where he is going. On one occasion, it got scary.

And yes, my reflection scares the heck out of me.

"how many people do a 180 degree shoulder check before chopping the throttle ? "

I could name one iboats member that doesn't, and another iboats member that almost drove over him. (neither was me)
