im curious if i have a 1 or 2 piece rear seal? any easy way to tell? by doing a search here ive learned that they only stuck reverse rotation engines in a dual engine boat. so im confident i have a standard rotation motor but thats the only thing holdin me back from buying a rebuild kit. 1 or 2 piece rear main seal? thanks fellas!

You should have a 2 piece......
I don't think they changed over until the mid 80's......​

Just make sure that the engine hasn't been replaced with a newer (1 piece) one in the last 30 years.
