Hi,

I have a 2006 BF150A Honda motor on my 2000 21' striper boat ( I just bough it). The motor runs great and the boat is awesome. However the compression on the cylinders has me a bit worried. The compression is a follows:

from top to bottom:

Piston 1 170PSI
Piston 2 160PSI
Piston 3 165PSI
Piston 4 175PSI

Is this normal or should I be concerned? The motor is still under warranty (2011).

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

By the way, I forgot to mention that the engine has 130 hours on it.

As long as everything is running good, these compression readings are fine. The main thing with compression tests are to see that there is no big differences between cylinders, and you are normal looking to me with 130 hours.
