Hello. I have a 75 evinrude 15 hp, model 15404s. It will stall unless I pump up the ball on the fuel line. The tank vent is open and I have fuel into fuel fitting on motor housing. New fuel line under engine bonnet. My question is: How does the fuel pump work and how do I change it . I want to fix it so I can see if the points and condensers that I put in have fixed the main stalling/loss of spark problem. Thanks. This is my 1st post, so if I'm doing anything wrong your suggestions will be appreciated.

Follow the fuel line under the cowl. That is the fuel pump. They can be rebuilt. Usually the diaphrams get brittle and crack.

Be careful on disassembly, there are several little springs and check balls in there. You can buy parts and pumps right here on iboats.
