One I forgot to mention as a favorite is a nice Cuban cigar. I have had the opportunity to smoke a couple, and man oh man they are something. Anyone else had the opportunity to smoke a real Cuban Cigar?

In some "Up in smoke" stores they have pre-embargo cuban tobacco that were rolled into cigars last year.

It's was an actuall cuban tobacco leaf shipment held up on the docks for many years. Sitting there aging. Finally they got cleared and sold.

I have one of those big honking cigars just waiting to be smoked.

Re: Favorite Cigars

I'll have one every once in a blue moon. One of the liquor stores here has a nice humidor as the owner is quite the cigar smoker. He can afford to smoke whatever he wants but he recommended an Onyx Reserve to me for a good $6 smoke so I get one of those every now and then.

Funny thing imo through others will surely disagree...

Pipes smell wonderful but don't taste so. Cigars smell awful but taste pretty good once you find one you like. I'm sure there are exceptions as my experience is somewhat limited with both.

Don Thomas Maduro.
Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva or signature series.
Guantanamera Decimos (Not bad for a machine rolled cuban)
Fonsecas. One of the best cubans ever in my humble opinion.

Did I see Cohiba up there? Man. You gotta have "cohones" to finish those :) they turn me green. Way too much smoke for me.

There are very few cubans I enjoy. Which is sad since they sell them in every store up here :) I do like dominican and honduran. For a casual smoke while fishing or what not I love those had rolled Backwoods brand. Wild Rum or Natural. I actually tried the banana. Man. Nasty nasty nasty.

Like Tashasdaddy I smoke the little cigars, but once in a while I will get a Cohiba Habana, a real Cuban and my favorite. Hard to get. When my children visit in Central America or the Carribean they get me one or two.

Other Cohibas are made in other countries, and I like the Honduran.

JB If you have or know anyone heading north of the border into Canada, get them to bring you back a few boxes of Cuban cigars. They are easy to find up here. You can't swing a cat in our tourist areas downtown without seeing some marketing/sales signs for Cuban cigars. They do huge business with the U.S visitors.

While I've had the pleasure of enjoying most of the above mentioned cigars my go to smoke is a Cojimar Senora Vanilla. If you ever have the opportunity try one. If you would like a source for them PM me.

ive smoked a few cohiba's. they were decent. im no smoker though.

i havent smoke one since a friend brought some fresh ones back from puerto rico. i never had a fresh cigar before and that thing threw me for a friggin loop! the nicotine was STRONG and hit me crazy, i felt like i just drank a case of brew. im pretty sure it was tobacco in it, heh.

Re: Favorite Cigars

The most unique cigar I have ever had is a Drew Estate Acid. I like them, but can't smoke them everytime I smoke a cigar.

Arturo Fuentes or Cohibas are probably my favorites....next to a real cuban of coarse.

If I need something cheap for golf or something......can't go wrong with swishers.
