96 gm 350 now a stroker engine timming set at 14 deg at idle.runs great from idle to full power any less advance the motor dogs tb 5 ign system I tried setting the timming using mercury instructions to the letter grounding the purple/white wire & set the timming to merc specs . when I disc the ground It had no effect on the timming the at all The problem w/ the timming at 14 deg is it trashes the starter drives Is it true that the ign module should hold back the timming until the motor is up and running ? Is it possible that I need to get a different module for a stroker engine? also I am getting no ping or chatter during operation. Jim
